This work represents concentrated photography over a period of five weeks a number of years ago, I was drawn to two pieces of complex graffIti in my neighborhood at the same time I was concluding a year of intensive dreamwork. The graffiti and my dreamwork collided, and I was taken in. Only when I finished did I realize I had created images reflective of my dreamtime. I am surprised by how descriptive the work is and how much came out of relatively so little camera work. Like everyone else, I have found it takes many efforts to be rewarded with a single image. These images are "inner landscapes' for me: they are not the external landscapes I have engaged in for many years. They are also "markings", part of the continuing effort of anonymous humans to convey their intense feelings and emotions to and about others. They are the contemporary equivalent of the Anazasi rock art of my ancient southwest - a spiritual cry for recognition. They are the dreamtime vision of the current moment.
