The Gramineae Project began in 2001 and continues. In 2001 we had a very wet, hot summer in Santa Fe. The result was an over-abundance of vegetation in our backyard. As I sat on our patio with my wife, enjoying the sunset I began looking closely at the grasses that had grown up along the edge of the patio. After several evenings of the same I picked up the camera and went to work. Work on the project has continued on trips to Door County, Wisconsin and Isle Royale National Park, Michigan, and I add to the project as I travel. The folio represents my current edit of the work.
